About Tarkman

What is this for?

This is the admin site for Tarkman, if you are looking for the live liturgy application, please visit web.tarkman.app.

Tarkman is a side project, which began in 2015 with the desire to more seamlessly introduce the deep and powerful theological and biblical content of the Divine Liturgy of the Armenian Church to new and learning faithful. For decades liturgy books with multiple translations have been available for worshippers to use during church services However, the use of these books can sometimes be combersome and intimidating for the neophyte.

Tarkman's purpose is to leverage technology to facilitate a simple and engaging experience for worshippers of the Armenian Church who desire to understand our liturgies more fully.

What does Tarkman mean?

Tarkman is derived from the Armenian word for translate, tarkmanel, and means interpreter. In a broader sense it is a title for one that helps others understand.
